Engine Room has built strong collaborative relations with partners such as Tate and London South Bank University as a means of exploring the most effective ways through which national museums can respond to changing audience needs. Current and recent projects include: Tate Encounters – exploring Tate Britain’s role in the formation of British national identity. Visual Dialogues – evaluating a Strategic Commissioning initiative that brings together museums across England. Engine Room encourages approaches from museums, galleries and other cultural institutions to explore new developments as many public bodies continue to innovate in their programmes.
