In March 2009, the Engine Room was commissioned by Federation of Music Services (FMS), to provide objective evidence about the impact of the WO programme. The research tracked personal, social, cultural, educational, ethical and economic impact of the programme. A survey was sent to all participating schools in England and field work and focus groups were conducted in eight local authorities. The results of this research will be published in January 2010.
