Most of the Engine Room projects include the active contribution of artists at all levels.

Our definition of an artist is very broad and includes craftspeople, designers, performers, film makers as well as visual arts, dance, theatre and music. Throughout the year, there is a consistent demand for artists to work (paid) on our projects. We also conduct training programmes for artists to work in education and social enterprise. Our artists must be:

  • high quality artists in their own right
  • used to working in collaborative ways
  • excellent communicators
  • reflective practitioners
  • familiar with the educative role of the arts
  • professional in their approach

If you are interested in being considered for inclusion on our artists’ database, please send a current CV with 3 high quality, digital images to the general enquiries contact for the Engine Room.

All applications will be reviewed by a selection panel and if accepted onto the database, you will be contacted as positions become available.
